2. Independent Operator
Wizarding Edinburgh has no commercial relationship with Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., J.K. Rowling, Pottermore Publishing, or The Blair Partnership. We are an independent tour operator. All tour content, research and storytelling are our own original work, conducted out of genuine love and deep respect for the source material.
3. Bookings and Payment
A booking is confirmed once you receive a written confirmation from us by email. For pre-paid tours, payment in full is required at the time of booking via our secure Stripe checkout. For private experiences, a 50% deposit is required to confirm the reservation; the remaining balance is due at the meeting point before the tour begins.
Prices are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (£) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. We reserve the right to adjust prices at any time; changes will not affect confirmed bookings. Payment is accepted by all major credit and debit cards via our secure Stripe checkout; any balance due on the day of a private experience may be settled by card or cash.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Free (tip-based) tours
- Cancel any time, free of charge — just let us know as early as you can so we can release your spot.
- On our end, we will only cancel a free tour for extreme weather or exceptional circumstances, with as much notice as possible.
Pre-paid public tours
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour start time — full refund.
- You can reschedule to another date for free at any time, even within 24 hours.
- Within 24 hours of the tour start time, or a no-show — no refund, as our freelance tour guides are already booked and paid for their time. You are still welcome to reschedule.
- We will only cancel a booked tour for extreme weather or exceptional circumstances, with as much notice as possible, in which case you receive a full refund.

- You can reschedule to another date for free at any time, even within 24 hours.

5. Participant Conduct
We reserve the right to remove any participant from a tour without refund if their behaviour endangers the safety or enjoyment of others, or causes damage to any property. This includes behaviour that is abusive, discriminatory, or that is disruptive due to the influence of alcohol or substances.
Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult for all tours.
6. Health, Safety and Accessibility
Our tours take place on Edinburgh's historic cobbled streets, which can be uneven and slippery — particularly in wet or icy conditions. Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically able to participate. Please notify us of any accessibility requirements when booking — we will do our best to accommodate them.
Wizarding Edinburgh carries public liability insurance. Participants join tours at their own risk and agree to follow all safety instructions given by their guide.
7. Intellectual Property
All tour content, research, scripts, written materials and the Revelio Bureau methodology are the intellectual property of Wizarding Edinburgh. You may not reproduce, record, or distribute our tour content — in whole or in part — for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
Personal photography and video for private, non-commercial use is welcome and encouraged.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Wizarding Edinburgh's liability for any claim arising from a booking is limited to the amount paid for that booking. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss, including loss of enjoyment, travel costs or accommodation costs in connection with a cancelled tour.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. The terms in force at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.
